Adoption Tails: Hank

When Pamela Kource, of Gladwin, was ready to add a new member to her family, she knew that the shelter was the perfect place to look.

“I wanted to help a dog that needed a family,” Pamela said.

In 2018, Pamela found Hank, a big, goofy Pit-bull mix.

“The way he looked at me with his puppy eyes, I just melted,” Pamela said.

She said that the adoption process was very simple and easy.

“They were all very nice at the shelter and even gave (Hank) toys to take home,” Pamela remembered.

Hank adjusted well to home life.

She said that he was a very clever boy who learned how to unlock their fence and get out.

“But instead of running away,” Pamels said. “he would always run straight to the front door to be let back in.”

He just always wanted to be with his people, snuggling on the couch, or in bed.

“We had absolutely no issues in bringing him home,” Pamela said. “He was just a big cuddly baby.”

Sadly, the family lost Hank after years of love and still think of him often.

“I have no regrets in adopting from the shelter,” Pamela said. “I would gladly do it again.”
